Orlando

Why not book a holiday with confidence with Luxury Escapes by Katie Walsh. Orlando is a well-known state in Florida but also known for its wild theme parks and fantastic weather all year round. Excellent for winter sun or summer sun, weather doesn’t change throughout the year.

This is the best place to take your youngsters; this is a place they’ll never forget. With millions of parks, you’ll be spoilt for choice where to take them.

Rectently opened is the famous The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at the Universal Studios Resort, why not take a trip down Hogsmeade and visit the famous Hogwarts Castle.

The first place we would recommend is Walt Disneyworld, it is the most brilliant park with two water parks they have, they also have the famous Epcot, Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood studios and even downtown Disney. You are literally spoilt for choice with where to go with for Disney, then we recommend going to the universal island of adventures with all your favourite marvel based characters come to life.

But in Orland it isn’t just about the parks, there is also millions of fabulous golf courses for the dads and the famous ‘Maceys’s’ for the mother to enjoy some retail therapy in these beautiful malls in the International Drive.

Orlando has the most jaw dropping hotels, villas and apartments. It would be much cheaper if you had your own villa out there if you’re travelling with a large party. But if that’s not your style you can also stay in Kissimmee and International drive due to how close they are to the parks.

If you want to relax and soak up the vitamins D then you need to go to Kissimmee, Miami, Florida Keys and the Sanibel Islands for all the sandy beaches and clear blue sea that you need.

Florida Holidays

Florida is most certainly on par with the fun of the theme parks in Orlando. However, The Sunshine State also offers plenty of alternatives that many have been enjoying the fun of for years. Whether you’re looking for a stunning break in Florida Keys, a City break in the fabulous Miami or the splendour of the Gulf Coast; there is so much to do in Florida.

Without any shadow of a doubt the majority of package holidays to Florida are to Kissimmee and Orlando which is home to Disney World and Universal Orlando® Resort as well as hundreds of associated attractions.

Spread over 47 square miles Disney World Florida has four enormous theme parks, two fantastic water parks, thousands of hotel rooms and many other fantastic attractions such as golf courses as well as shopping. Hotel accommodation at Disney can range from the inexpensive budget priced All-Star resorts to the pure luxury of the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Other options include Villas for accommodation.

Although there is on-site accommodation on Disney holidays, many chose to opt for the less expensive accommodation in the nearby Kissimmee. There are thousands of places to stay at this all-year round popular destination where good deals are constantly on offer. Most of the cheap holidays to Florida will include breaks in the Orlando or Kissimmee area and many will offer fly-drives picking up a hire a car at Sanford airport just outside Orlando which might make things a little more accessible. Car Hire is a cheap alternative for getting around and allows holiday makers to take in other theme parks such as Universal Orlando® Resort.

Florida Gulf Coast

Another favourite Florida destination outside of Orlando includes the breath taking coast around Tampa situated on the Gulf Coast. Magnificent sunsets can be enjoyed over the Gulf of Mexico, even better still if observed from a beach bar sipping a delicious cocktail! St. Petersburg nearby, boasts a large choice of accommodation which include motels, hotels and unique American ‘efficiencies’. It is an idyllic place to stay in order to explore the Gulf Coast.

Miami is a cosmopolitan destination which has a combination of more than impressive art deco architecture. It’s Latin ambience is a favoured destination for those who are seeking city breaks. Flights to Miami can also be the starting point for holidays to the Florida Keys and trips to the Everglades National Park which is nearby.
